In 2005 Mef and the Narodnoosvobodilni band released the album Svoboda (Freedom), which has little jazz flavour although producer Andrea F. has kept the singer-songwriter underpinnings of Mef's music. The album spawned several radio hits: Če ne moreš do neba (If You Can't Reach the Sky), Svoboda (Freedom) and Meni se mi zdi (I Don't Think so) and received universal praise from music critics.
