Clavimerata can be recognized, among others, by the fact that it does not devote itself only to the traditional-classical or exclusively modern programme but is successfully occupied with performing of works from various musical periods and styles, with special care for researching the musical contents of the composition. The aesthetics of their performing surpasses ideological academic limitations, an exceptional originality and variety at the same time, however, enable them to research the sound colours and musical expressions also in combination with a singer, actor, percussion, accordion or double bass.
An interesting selection of the programme of topmost artists makes possible a pleasant musical dialogue with the audience and excellent reactions at their concerts confirm it. Clavimerata was established in 1997 under the name of Trio Mefisto. They improved their quality with acknowledged professors, such as Primož Lorenz, Primož Novšak, Henry Meyer, Martin Spangenberg, and reached an exceptional level in the field of the chamber art. They were awarded the first prize and gold medal at the competition of chamber groups “Lovec- Šček” in Koper. They also got the Students' Prešeren Prize for musical achievements. They have presented themselves to the Slovenian audience with numerous concerts and made guest appearances in Austria, Italy, Germany, France and Israel.
They recorded for the Radio Slovenia, Radio Maribor and, published on their own, edited a CD with a unique arrangement of Igor Stravinsky (A Soldier's Tale) and a CD “Um a Zero” with the works of Gershwin, D'Rivera, Pixinguinha and Douglas, which was published by Sanje.

Jani GOLOB (Ljubljana, 1948)
Sentimental dances
arose on the initiative of Clavimerata. In its apparent ease and simplicity they combine a wonderful range of rich rhythms and melodies, dynamic contrasts, sentimental and a bit nostalgic feelings.

Jaka PUCIHAR (Ljubljana, 1976)
Three for trio -”The composition was created in the final year of study at the Music Academy in Ljubljana, when I somehow discovered my personal style of musical expression. The last part was made as an independent composition, which should be used as an addition to the end of trio’s concerts. Later I added the first two parts. The theme, which was used in the second part, comes from the Slovenian folk song Lipa zelenela je.” This recording is the winner of the first prize in the category - soloists, small groups, chamber orchestras, and choirs at the 12th International Sound Recording Competition Taktons.
Sijaj, sijaj was originally written for the flute, oboe, piano, and was first performed in New Zealand where they wished for the composition of Slovenian theme to be performed by the Slovenian author.
Perpetuum Jazzile. “The emergence of composition is related to my authorial evening in CD Ljubljana in 2001, when I was first extensively introduced as a com- poser. The original is written for a chamber group of 10 instruments (wind quintet, string quartet and harpsichord), later on I arranged the work for the trio to simplify and increase the number of performance. It is a kind of a combination of the Baroque style with a touch of jazz ...”

David BEOVIČ (Kranj, 1977)
Angie Z. ”The Russian proverb says that a quick death even ends the longest life. After her death, I decided to dedicate my next work to the honour of her memory. The song does not reflect the morbidity or pessimism, but her cheerful nature, harmless observation, playing with the thumbs and the elderly return of the child. The child who spent his time and went to play on the other side.”

Maks STRMČNIK (Črna na Koroškem,1948)
Graduale was written in 1987 on the initiative of the trio Goričar-Belič-Jarc and was first performed in concert studio of the Society of Slovenian composers. The work has got a great design and sound originality. Composer discovered and established the principle of design in our music space that follows the nature of sonority of individual instruments and their combinations. There is no dissection to ordinary sentences with well known conventional forms, but clean musical sequence of long bows in which the sound combination of two or all three instruments exchanges through contrasts and graduation. All this is neatly fulfilled with aleatorical moments, followed by sharp, rhythmic outlined musical ideas.

Pavel ŠIVIC (Radovljica, 1908; Ljubljana, 1995)
Small variations were written by Šivic in 1977. Preliminary theme is completely Hungarian coloured, followed by diverse variations (Animato, Barcaroli, Lento, Vivace, Recitativo and Marcia).
