How it grows is an animated miniseries for children (3+). The 6 episodes portray the life cycles of various animals, from birth to adulthood. Animals have an interesting, unique and unusual life cycle. Portrayed are the butterfly, frog, snail, rooster, bat and fish. The screenplay was written by Sandra Ržen and it is based on the book That's How a Butterfly Grows by Ajda Erznožnik, the rhymes were composed by Feri Lainšček, the main animators are Jernej Žmitek, Zarja Menart, Anja Lavrinec and Timon Leder, the authors of the music are Samo Kutin and Ana Kravanja.

SYNOPSIS

Each episode features a main character, one of the selected animals, in its natural habitat. We follow its development through rhyming narration, ending with two riddles, which summarize what the child has learned throughout the episode. The riddles are simple and accessible, and they are accompanied by a visual aide, which reveals the answer. The narrative is constructed with rhyming prose, as rhythm is an important factor for children learning new words and keeping their attention.
