In memoriam of the Slovene polka & waltz king Henček Burkat
The accordionist Henrik-Burkat - Henčel, who passed away on 5 May 2011, was one of the legends of the Slovene folk pop music. Between 1965 and 2001 he wrote over 300 songs including a number of folk pop hits - Polka, valček, rock&roll (Polka waltz, rock&roll, Metliška črnina (Metlika Red) and Didl Boogie Woogie. He was the first to spice up Slovene folk pop with elements of rock&roll and added banjo and saxophone to his line-up.
The compilation presents 23 of his essential hits including Polka, valček, rock&roll, Metliška črnina (listen!) and Didl Boogie Woogie.
