Žiga Brank is a violinist, performer and violin professor at the Ljubljana Music and Ballet Conservatory, a position held since September 2010. He was the concertmaster of the Symphonic Orchestra of the Slovene National Theatre (SNG) Maribor – Opera and Ballet Orchestra and a member of both the Slovene Philharmonic Orchestra and the Zagreb Soloists. Brank has recorded several solo violin pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach and Eugène Ysaÿe for the Slovene Radio and Television Archives. As a soloist, he has performed with orchestras on various occasions; May 2009 was marked by Brank's superb performance with the Slovene Radio and Television Symphonic Orchestra during their 2008/2009 season. He has given solo recitals throughout Europe, including performances in Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium and Ireland. Many of his recitals have been recorded for television and radio or broadcast live.
Brank began his musical studies in Ljubljana under the tutelage of M. Kosi. He studied under C. Hutcap at the Rostock College of Music and Theatre and J. Rissin at the Karlsruhe College of Music, where he received his Bachelor Degree. He attended several seminars and masterclasses with world-famous teachers and performers, such as I. Ozim, Z. Bron, E. Chugayeva, M. Yashvili and G. Zhislin.
During that time, he won many prestigious awards. In 1995, the Ljubljana Music and Ballet Secondary School awarded him the first Škerjanc Award for his outstanding contribution to the school's artistic reputation. He won second prize in the 1996“Jugend Musiziert” German Federal Competition, and first prize in the 2003 “TEMSIG” Slovene National Competition. For a year, he played a 1680 F. Ruggieri violin, which was on loan from the Baden-Württemberg State Collection.
Brank plays a C. A. Testore violin from 1739.


The pianist Dunja Robotti began her musical studies at the Brussels Conservatory with D. Blumenthal and finished at the University of the Arts in Berlin under the tutelage of H. Leygraf and G. Sava. She also attended courses in Lied interpretation by D. Fischer-Dieskau and A. Reimann and took master classes with V. Margulis, G. Sándor and G. Sebök.
Dunja Robotti has won numerous awards at international competitions, including 1st prize at “Claude Kahn” and “U.F.A.M.” in Paris, 3rd prize at the “International Meeting of Pianists” in Pointoise, France, and 5th prize at the “Città di Marsala”, Sicily; she was also a finalist at the “Franz Schubert and Music of the 20th Century “ in Graz.
Dunja Robotti has regularly performed as a soloist with orchestras since she was 10. She continues to give concerts in chamber music and Lied with different great musicians and arrangements throughout Europe and the Americas. She has performed at recital in some of the most famous concert halls, such as the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Kölner Philharmonie, Munich’s Herkulessaal and the Schubertiade Feldkirch.
She has made several radio recordings for WDR and Radio Bremen and performs rarely heard Hungarian chamber music on Sender Freies Berlin and Bayerischer Rundfunk.
Dunja Robotti has worked for several years as a piano accompanist for string classes at the University of Arts in Berlin. She recently started to work in the same position at the University of Music in Nuernberg. She is also a full time accompanist at the renowned master classes given at the Carl Flesch Akademie in Baden-Baden and in Vaduz, Liechtenstein.
Dunja Robotti is also a member of several ensembles, such as the “Ensemble Mediterrain”, the Avant-Garde Band “Continuum” and a frequent guest of the "Festival Musica Mallorca". She is also a foundation member of the Three-Piano-Ensemble “Xinowa Sej” and the Pocket-Operette “Mann trifft Frau” (“A Man Meets A Woman”).
